Shimla: Aiming to regulate the selection and appointment of resident doctors, the State Government of Himachal Pradesh has notified a new Resident Doctor Policy 2025 for all the Government Medical Colleges/institutes across the State.

Under this newly introduced policy, the State has laid down the eligibility, selection, and appointment criteria, reservation roster, etc., to appoint senior and junior residents and tutors in the Department of Medical Education.
