A pensioner "saved a young girl" from a mass train stabbing on a high speed train that eventually stopped at Huntingdon , Cambridgeshire, with 10 people left in hospital. ‌

Witnesses described seeing "blood everywhere", with one recalling how an older man "blocked" the attacker from getting to a younger girl during the horror ordeal. ‌

Doing so left him with injuries to his head and neck, witness Olly Foster told the BBC , adding other passengers used their clothing to try and stem the bleeding. He said the incident “felt like forever”. ‌

Another witness recalled the terrifying moment he saw someone "hanging out the train door bleeding" after several people were stabbed in the mass incident.
