A witness has claimed that passengers on the train where a stabbing spree occurred were preparing to defend themselves with a bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey.

The knife attack, which took place on the 6.25pm train service from Doncaster to London King's Cross on Saturday in Huntingdon, resulted in ten people being hospitalised, nine of whom suffered life-changing injuries.

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Witnesses described a scene of chaos with "blood everywhere" as people were trampled in the rush to escape, with some hiding in toilets.
