BREVARD — Pisgah football faced a fourth-and-goal from the 3-yard line on the first possession of the second overtime.

Brevard linebacker Jax Whitmire watched quarterback Matthew Mehaffey receive the snap and toss it left to running back Landon Pope. He read it immediately and raced around a blocker to stand Pope up at the 2-yard line before defensive linemen Brayden Crain and Peyton Owen helped bring the tailback down.
