OXFORD, MS ― In many ways it was the same story on a different Saturday for South Carolina football .
For the second straight week, the Gamecocks (3-6, 1-6 SEC) were in a tight game with a top 10 team but allowed everything to crumble and slip away late in the fourth quarter.
They were down by six to Ole Miss to start the fourth quarter but lost 30-14 to the No. 8 Rebels (8-1, 5-1) on Nov. 1, marking their sixth loss in the last seven games.
