A mum has hit out at Qatar Airways after her 13-year-old son was refused entry onto their flight to Thailand.
Meghan Law described the incident at Edinburgh Airport as having "no justification", which almost ruined her £3,000 family holiday. The check-in staff informed Meghan that a "luggage sticker mark" on Alix Dawson's passport was considered "damage".
She was then instructed to travel to Glasgow Airport - approximately 50 miles away - to obtain a new emergency document. In a desperate bid to save her family's holiday, Meghan reached out to TUI, through whom she had booked the trip, for guidance.
The tour operator found no issues with the passport and arranged for them to be on the next available flight to Thailand.
