INDIANAPOLIS - An investigation is underway after several cars and homes were damaged after gunfire rang out at a house party on Indy's near east side Sunday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Prospect Street on the report of shots fired.
When officers arrived on scene, they found several cars and homes damaged from the gunfire. Numerous shell casings and evidence markers were found at the scene, police said.
Investigators say everything took place during a party where a disturbance broke out in the street. Gunfire followed, which damaged several cars and homes in the area police said.
No injuries were reported, according to police. The incident remains under investigation.
