The police in Haryana have booked three employees of Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak after women sanitation workers alleged that they were forced to photograph their private parts and sanitary pads to prove they were menstruating, PTI reported on Saturday.

The incident took place on October 26, a few hours before Haryana Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh was scheduled to visit the university campus.

A first information report was registered on October 29 at the PGIMS police station against sanitation supervisors Vitender and Vinod Hooda, and Assistant Registrar Shyam Sunder, The Indian Express reported.

The FIR was based on a complaint by four women sanitation workers.
