Oct 26, 2025; Foxborough, Massachusetts, USA; New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson (32) runs with the ball during the first half against the Cleveland Browns at Gillette Stadium.

We've nearly reached the halfway mark of the 2025 NFL season. That means Week 9 has arrived.

The USA TODAY Sports staff has returned to the roundtable to give the best NFL bets for Sunday. The team went 1-3 in Week 8, with DeVonta Smith exceeding his receiving yards line as the lone winner. The team did have one push with Drake London, who was surprisingly inactive on Sunday. With almost half a season of stats and data, we'll strive to make more informed decisions.

Bye weeks continue, but this time just four teams have the week off: Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets.

There's a 12-game slate for Sunday and the USA TODAY Sports staff of NFL experts narrows down the best NFL bets in one place below.

Our experts have provided the best prediction for this weekend's slate of games, selecting from any betting markets available and supplying an in-depth analysis on spreads, totals, player props and anytime touchdowns. Here are our best NFL bets for Sunday games with odds from BetMGM. Best of luck if you tail.

Chargers RB Kimani Vidal OVER 100 rushing yards at Titans (+200)

Ayrton Ostly, NFL writer: The Chargers showed how they can dominate a team in the trenches on offense when they handled Minnesota to the tune of 207 total rushing yards in Week 8. This week they face one of the worst run defenses in the league.

Tennessee is averaging 119 rushing yards allowed per game to running back groups in 2025. They've allowed under 100 just once: Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Los Angeles is finding its stride on offense and could take control early before leaning on the run game to get a road win. Vidal will be prominently featured as Omarion Hampton is yet to return to the lineup and should benefit to the tune of another 100-yard game.

Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson UNDER 13.5 rushing attempts vs. Falcons (-131)

Jacob Camenker, NFL writer: Does Week 9 feel like an opportunity for Henderson to show his worth? Sure, and with Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) out, he should step into a larger role.

But will Henderson be a true workhorse for the Patriots? That seems unlikely. Henderson has only twice received double-digit carries this season and has just once played 50% of New England's offensive snaps. Mike Vrabel may prefer to keep the Ohio State product in more of a complementary role as he continues to learn Josh McDaniels' complex offensive system.

This situation seems eerily similar to the one the Arizona Cardinals had earlier in the season, when Michael Carter leapfrogged the more explosive Emari Demercado following Trey Benson's injury. If Terrell Jennings steps into the Stevenson role ahead of Henderson, the Ohio State product could have another disappointing output. So, it seems like a good spot in which to fade him.

Colts TE Tyler Warren OVER 54.5 receiving yards at Steelers (-115)

Nick Brinkerhoff, NFL writer: Right reads, wrong results. That about sums up our last two weeks, but a little perspective goes a long way as we live to fight another day. In other words, we’ll continue to trust the process and go back to an old friend who founded the 2025 season’s circle of trust.

Warren gave us a win in Week 1 and now is the perfect time to reunite with the rookie. The Colts’ emerging star gets a juicy matchup with the Steelers to begin November – a defense that is getting shredded by tight ends, allowing a league-high 79.2 yards per game. Tucker Kraft was printing money in Week 8, something Warren is set up to do for the league’s No. 1 scoring offense in Week 9.

Pittsburgh is littered with injuries on defense, especially in the secondary. Warren has been consistent, clearing this line in five of eight and scoring touchdowns in four of the last five. The Colts’ success remains one of the more shocking things to come out of the season to this point, but the rookie is in a good spot to have a big day in the Steel City.

Steelers TE Jonnu Smith anytime TD vs. Colts (+270)

Tom Viera, NFL writer/editor: We're diving a bit deeper this Sunday and backing the veteran tight end Jonnu Smith when the Steelers host the Colts. Similar to Brinkerhoff, there's a strong belief that this matchup can produce plenty of offensive production. The veteran has had a disappointing statistical season compared to his 2024 numbers but the Colts defense provides a juicy matchup.

Indianapolis has allowed the fourth-most receptions to opposing tight ends. Smith is in a crowded tight end room, but Pat Freiermuth appeared to suffer a leg injury in the Steelers' game against the Packers in Week 8. Freiermuth could be limited a bit and Smith's 38 snaps led all Pittsburgh tight ends (Darnell Washington 29, Freiermuth 27, Connor Heyward 1).

Smith has been targeted on 27.7% of his routes on third down this season (13 of 47) - the 2nd-highest rate among tight ends - suggesting he's earned the trust of Aaron Rodgers. This matchup boasts the fourth-highest total of the week, and Mike Tomlin's teams have historically been great at home as an underdog off a loss (12-4 against the spread). Jump on Jonnu today.
