GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - A hit and run on Halloween night sent one victim to the hospital.

Just before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, the Goldsboro Police Department went to the scene at 709 E US 70.

There they learned that the victim was walking westbound when they were hit by a dark-colored car traveling eastbound on the service road in front of Doug Henry Buick.

The vehicle never stopped after hitting the person and kept going eastbound. The victim suffered an apparent left leg injury and was transported to UNC Health Wayne for treatment.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
