Coco Gauff is in Riyadh, aiming to defend her WTA Finals title. She will be up against compatriot Jessica Pegula in her first round robin match on November 2.
In her pre-tournament press conference, Gauff said she thinks the WTA being more open makes it more interesting than the ATP, pointing out how predictable the men’s tour has become since 2024, given that only Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are winning the majority of the tournaments.
