The latest figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) show at the end of February 2025, over 1.7 million older people were receiving additional financial support through Attendance Allowance , including 155,200 living in Scotland. ‌

The benefit provides either £73.90 or £110.40 every week and as it is typically paid every four weeks, this amounts to either £295.60 or £441.60 every pay period. It's important to be aware that Pension Age Disability Payment has now replaced all new claims for Attendance Allowance for pensioners with a Scottish Postcode. ‌
