COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police released the identity of a 21-year-old man who was killed in a stabbing in the University District early Sunday morning.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the 1700 block of North High Street , around 1:48 a.m., on a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers found Robert Russell suffering from apparent stab wounds.
He was transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries.
Police said it was determined that Russell was involved in an argument that escalated into a fight, leading to the stabbing.
There is no suspect information at this time.
Before the fight, police say the "assailants" may have visited other businesses in the area.
