Dozens of wedding guests rushed to shelter children under tables and hold up the walls of a reception hall during an intense storm in Queensland's Banana Shire over the weekend.
Jordan Baxter was one of several men who fought to push up the walls of the shed at Camboon, near Theodore, on Saturday as guests took cover below.
"Some of the other boys were trying to board up the windows. Tables were getting shot like ping-pong balls," Mr Baxter told the ABC.
"Next thing we know, the roof is just gone."
Mr Baxter said there was a moment of panic when one of the children was thought to be missing, but they were later found safe with an adult who was caring for them.
"It was definitely scary," he said. "[The storm] scared the shit out of me."
