As many of you may recall, from Sept. 1, 1952, to Sept. 5, 1969, Art Linkletter had a radio/television show called “The House Party.”
At the end of each show he had a segment, “Kids Say The Darndest Things,” when he interviewed youngsters ranging in age from 5 to 7 years old. The interviews with the children were unrehearsed and totally spontaneous. I recently stumbled on some of the original interviews on YouTube and found them to be just as funny now as they were back then.
Mothers everywhere spend hours doing damage control over something their youngster said. One never knows exactly what will come out of the mouths of kids. I recall my 3-year-old son standing in the foyer after church one Sunday morning when he decided to take a few leaves off the large live plant standing beside him
