Police are appealing for help to trace George Mccaig, 56, who has been reported missing from North Ayrshire.

Mr Mccaig was last seen around 12.40pm on Friday, 31 October, 2025, in the Irvine area, however, is believed to now be in Edinburgh, possibly Morningside.

He is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, with grey hair and of medium/stocky build. It is believed he was wearing a black puffer jacket and black Adidas trousers.

Sergeant Craig Turnbull said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for George and are carrying out a number of enquiries to trace him.

“I’m appealing to anyone who has seen George, or who may have information about his current whereabouts, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
