In this sunset season for the concrete cathedral often overflowed with so many as 80,000 passionate patrons, WIVB News 4 Buffalo is taking a daily look back over 400 games played in the Orchard Park stadium’s 52 years. 1980 — Falcons 30, Bills 14 — Joe Ferguson threw a touchdown pass to Frank Lewis and Joe Cribbs rushed for a touchdown on Buffalo’s opening drives, but the Bills turned the ball over five times after that in allowing the visitors to score the game’s final 30 points. Ferguson threw three interceptions while passing for 270 yards, Jerry Butler had 140 yards from scrimmage, and Cribbs gained 58 yards with a lost fumble.
