NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Authorities in North Charleston are investigating an early morning homicide outside a Rivers Avenue lounge.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the parking lot of the Aqua Event Center (Aqua Lounge and Nightclub) at 5624 Rivers Avenue around 2 a.m.

A male victim was found dead at the scene, and a second victim, a female, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police have not made any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
