Gujarat continued to receive unseasonal rainfall on Sunday, resulting in a massive damage to crops across the state. The extended downpour, which is a result of depression that weakened into a low pressure over the Arabian Sea, is likely to continue for another day or two, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Looking at the crop damages, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday said the state government is set to announce a relief package for farmers due to unseasonal rains. According to sources, the compensation package will be announced in a day or two.
