LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man is in the hospital after being shot in Valley Station on Saturday, Nov. 1.

According to Louisville Metro Police, officers responded to a call at around 8:23 p.m. of a shooting in the 5400 block of Valley Station Road.

At the scene, police found a man outside the address with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to UofL Hospital by EMS and is expected to survive.

Matthew Tarrance, 29, was arrested in connection to the shooting and charged with first-degree assault.

Court documents show police obtained surveillance video from Valley Liquors that shows what led up to the shooting.
