Chennai, Nov 2 (PTI) Opposing the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls by dubbing it as confusing, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief, actor-politician Vijay on Sunday accused the ruling DMK of plotting to utilise the SIR issue for electoral gains.

Vijay alleged the DMK was staging a deceitful drama on the SIR issue to divert Tamil Nadu people’s attention from the corruption allegations against its regime.

Though his party is of the view that opposition parties should come together on this issue to protect the rights of the people, Vijay said the TVK was aware that the DMK was plotting to utilise the SIR issue merely to get "vote political gains."
