Edmond police say a 3-year-old boy has died after being found in a pond located at a local apartment complex.
Police said that shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, they received a call from an unidentified woman who told them her son saw what he believed to be a small child in the water in the pond at Coffee Creek Apartments, 501 W 15th St. in Edmond.
Edmond firefighters pulled the boy from the pond and immediately began CPR. They took him to Integris Health Edmond Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said the boy’s parents were found shortly after their son had been taken to the hospital.
Police has not released the identity of the boy as of Sunday morning.
