A local businessman has shared his family's ordeal of 'losing everything' in a devastating fire, believed to have been sparked by a stray Diwali firework.
Mohsen Mahmoudi, 28, returned from a comedy show to find his Foleshill home in Coventry completely engulfed in flames on the evening of 18 October.
The three-bedroom property was left entirely gutted by the blaze.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Hordean Close around 9pm, but by then, the fire had already consumed most of the house. Mohsen, who operates two bubble tea shops, is now faced with the financial burden of rebuilding as the house was uninsured, with costs estimated to be at least £110,000.
