HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WCSC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information after an early morning shooting and police chase led to the arrest of two people and sent two others to the hospital.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the area of South Forest Beach Drive just after 1:30 Sunday morning to reports of a gunshot victim.

When deputies arrived, they found a 17-year-old male on the ground who had been shot. Hilton Head Fire Rescue was called to the scene and took the victim to a nearby hospital.

Deputies later learned that the suspects drove away from the scene. A vehicle matching the description given to deputies was found, but it drove away as it tried to escape from law enforcement.
