BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Brownsville Police Department is searching for a missing woman.

Maribel Arizmendi, 51, was reported missing on Saturday, Nov. 1 and according to police Arizmendi's family reported that she has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and may need assistance.

Arizmendi is described as a 5'2" tall woman who weighs approximately 160 pounds. She has long, straight, black hair and has brown eyes.

Police say she was last seen possibly wearing green shorts or black leggings with white shoes.
