Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 34-year-old farmer died by suicide, distressed by poor cotton yield at Wankidi mandal centre on Sunday.
Police said that Butle Sudhakar from Wankidi mandal headquarters attempted to take his life by consuming pesticide. He breathed his last while being shifted to a hospital. He was disheartened by a dip in yield of his cotton crop raised by borrowing money from local moneylenders.
Sangeetha, wife of the farmer lodged a complaint with the police. A case was registered. Investigations are underway.
