Bhubaneswar: The Director General of Police (DGP), Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, on Sunday conducted a detailed review of the security arrangements in Puri as large crowds of devotees gathered to celebrate the auspicious Panchuka.

Accompanied by Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), and Puri Superintendent of Police (SP) Prateek Singh, the DGP inspected the temple premises to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for pilgrims.

In a bid to manage the heavy footfall, additional barricades were deployed from Market Chhak to Bagala Dharamshala, aimed at improving traffic management and crowd control.
