An all-party meeting, spearheaded by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and the leader of the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), MK Stalin, decided to move to the Supreme Court against the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, going to be implemented in 12 states and union territories, including Tamil Nadu.

Sharing the decision of the all-party meeting, Stalin wrote on X that the real intention behind the SIR is to take away the democratic rights of the people, and hence, it is the responsibility of all political parties to stand up against the process.
