PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out six players for their game against the Indianapolis Colts. That includes two safeties, Jabrill Peppers and Chuck Clark.

Peppers has functioned as a crucial piece to the Steelers’ special teams while also playing a reserve safety at strong and free safety. If Dugger can not get up to speed fast enough, it seems likely that Peppers would have been the starter, but that is now out of the picture.

Peppers is out with a quad injury while Clark is missing the game with an illness. Without Clark in the fold, the Steelers will move Jalen Ramsey to safety full time.
