A major rescue operation was launched after a car went over a cliff near Crawton in Aberdeenshire on Saturday morning.
Emergency crews discovered a man with injuries a short distance from the vehicle shortly after 11.05am.
He was winched to safety by a Coastguard helicopter and treated by medics at the top of the cliffs before being taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard told the Press & Journal that teams were called to reports of “a man found with injuries near a car which went over a cliff near Crawton.”
