Cannabis use may boost tobacco addiction risk in young Americans, study finds

New research from UC San Diego found that cannabis use among youth may be responsible for 13% of new cases of regular tobacco use in the US, suggesting that cannabis use should be considered a major risk factor for later tobacco addiction.
