COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - One person is dead following a Saturday morning crash in Richland County, South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

Highway Patrol said that a 2024 Ford pickup truck was going north on Farrow Road around 9:30 a.m. when it hit the driver’s side of a 2022 Toyota Highlander that was going west on Pine Wedge Drive.

The driver of the truck was the only occupant and was uninjured. The driver of the Toyota Highlander died at the scene as a result of their injuries, while the passenger in the Highlander was taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
