DETROIT -- Six Detroit Tigers and 16 former Tigers are among the 137 players who were officially declared free agents on Sunday.

Second baseman Gleyber Torres; right-handed relievers Kyle Finnegan, Tommy Kahnle and Rafael Montero; and right-handed starters Chris Paddack and Alex Cobb all finished the season on the Tigers’ roster, although Paddack was inactive for the postseason and Cobb spent the entire year on the injured list.

The former Tigers reaching free agency are catcher James McCann; infielders Willi Castro, José Iglesias and Eugenio Suárez; left-handers Justin Wilson, Caleb Thielbar, Tyler Alexander, Andrew Chafin and Gregory Soto; and right-handers Charlie Morton, José Ureña, Shelby Miller, Justin Verlander, Luke Jackson, Max Scherzer and Derek Law.
