ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Regular operations are set to resume at the Georgia World Congress Center after a suspicious package was reportedly found on Sunday morning.
According to GWCC, the owner of the package has been identified, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) confirmed that it was not a threat after Bomb Squad technicians inspected and cleared it.
Officials with DreamHack Atlanta 2025 report that they will have a delayed entry into the event due to the incident. Doors are scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m.
GWCC said a K-9 unit detected the suspicious package around 7 a.m. Sunday, during “a routine security sweep.” GBI’s Bomb Squad was quickly notified.
DreamHack Atlanta 2025 is being hosted at the GWCC this weekend, as Sunday is the third and final day. Offic
