Portion of East Main Street in Orange closed until Thursday

ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) - A portion of East Main Street in Orange will be closed to through traffic starting Sunday night, according to officials.

The Orange Police Department stated that starting Sunday, East Main Street will be closed from South Main Street to Mechanic Street. The closure will include the Water Street intersection and will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night through Thursday.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured via North Main Street, Clark Avenue, and Mechanic Street, with westbound traffic following the detour in the reverse order.

Police said that Highland Spirits and Cumberland Farms, both located on East Main Street, will remain open during their regular hours while road closures are in place. These businesses can be accessed from South Main Street, but driver
