University of Alabama legacy football player Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was arrested over the weekend, according to Tuscaloosa Patch .
Kirkpatrick was charged with reckless endangerment, attempting to elude and speeding.
The Tuscaloosa County Jail confirmed to 1819 News that Kirkpatrick was no longer in custody Sunday morning.
The UA Department of Athletics stated to Patch, "We are aware of an incident involving Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. and are working to gather more details at this time."
Alabama did not have a game this week.
Kirkpatrick is considered innocent until proven guilty.
Kirkpatrick played in all 13 games of the 2024 season and recorded three tackles. In the 2024 season, he’s recorded nine stops, including one tackle for a loss of two yards.
