An off-duty police officer is facing a high-range drink-driving charge after undergoing a random breath test in the state's North West.
The 39-year-old officer, who is attached to a command in the western region, was stopped by police for a random breath test on Gwydir Street, Moree, in the early hours of Sunday morning, November 2.
The female officer, who is an off-duty sergeant, allegedly returned a positive test result.
The woman was arrested and taken to Moree Police Station, where she underwent a secondary breath analysis. Police will allege the secondary test returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.152.
The woman has been charged with driving with a high-range PCA. Her licence was immediately suspended.
