JAMESTOWN —– One woman was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center following an accident at about 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, according to Lt. Nick Hardy of the Jamestown Police Department.
The accident occurred at 900 1st Ave. S, in front of the former Hardee’s, Hardy said.
A tanker truck full of unleaded gas was in the outside lane, and a pickup truck was in the inside lane, both coming off Business Loop West and turning north onto First Avenue. The male pickup truck driver possibly overcorrected or oversteered and steered the vehicle into the side of the tanker, which dragged the pickup for 30 feet, Hardy said.
“We had to call fire and rescue to pull it away from the tanker and then they cut the door off to get the female passenger out (of the pickup), who was claiming some neck
