CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — The Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office is now offering a reward less than two years after a teenager was killed while at home with his family.

Deputies said a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting struck 13-year-old Jacob Duncan on Jan. 26, 2024. Now, a $2,500 reward is on the table for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

"A child should never lose their life to violence that was never meant for them," Sheriff Cambo Streater said in a statement. "Jacob should be here today laughing, learning, and growing. We owe it to him, to his family, and to this community to find who did this and hold them accountable, but we need the community's help.”
