Ohio State QB Julian Saying surges as new Heisman favorite

Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin has surged to the top of the Heisman Trophy odds following another dominant performance in the Buckeyes’ 38-14 win over Penn State on Saturday.

Sayin completed 20-of-23 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns, leading the top-ranked Buckeyes (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) to another convincing victory.

According to ESPN , the sophomore signal-caller leads the Heisman race, ahead of Alabama’s Ty Simpson and Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza.

“If Julian continues to play the way that he’s playing, he deserves to be in the [Heisman] conversation, at the very least,” OSU coach Ryan Day said.
