HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After nearly five months of negotiations, the Oahu Transit Services (OTS) said it has made its last, best, and final offer to the Hawaii Teamsters and Allied Workers, Local 996 union.

OTS said it presented the offer to the union on Friday and is holding a press conference on Sunday at 1 p.m. to present the offer that was given to the union.

OTS said its offer includes a 16% increase over a four-year period, or a 4% increase each year. The contract covers about 1,400 employees, which includes TheBus drivers, mechanics, and support and administrative staff.
