A man who was tasered following a knife attack on a UK train repeatedly shouted “kill me” as he was tackled to the ground, according to a witness.
British Transport Police confirmed on Sunday that a 32-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested in connection with the horror incident in Huntingdon. Two men were originally arrested by police at the scene but a second man has been released with no further action.
A member of staff for LNER, who remains in a life-threatening condition, and tried to stop the attacker, has been described as a "hero" by police who say his actions "undoubtedly saved many people’s lives".
Five casualties have now been discharged from hospital.
