After 11 weeks of competition, it's now time to crown NCHSAA state football champions.

The high school football regular season now complete, the NCHSAA unveiled its playoff brackets Sunday afternoon. Sixteen teams from Cleveland, Gaston and Lincoln counties qualified for the postseason, which gets underway Friday, Nov. 7.

The NCHSAA football state championships are to be held Dec. 11-13, 2025 at Kenan Stadium on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill; Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham; as well as Helen & Leonard Moretz Stadium at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory.

Here are first-round pairings for classes 2A through 6A, brackets which feature area schools.
