A man has been rescued from a house where he was allegedly restrained and assaulted, as detectives searched for his suspected kidnappers.
Three people were arrested when police raided a house in Auburn, in Sydney's southwest, at 8pm on November 2 after the alleged kidnapping was reported to investigators.
The alleged victim, 42, was at his home in Riverwood at 8am on November 2, when a group of unknown people forced entry.
He was assaulted and taken from the house, police said.
Detectives launched an investigation into the alleged kidnapping after it was reported to police, and police established a crime scene at the Riverwood house.
About 12 hours after the alleged kidnapping, investigators pinpointed a house on Susan Street in Auburn where they believed the man was being held.
