A man was with his family outside a home when he was pistol-whipped by a robber with a handgun in a violent mugging in a South El Paso neighborhood.
The robbery occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 in the 3100 block of Pera Avenue near Estrella Street in the Chamizal neighborhood. The unsolved case is Crime Stoppers of El Paso's Crime of the Week.
The man was with his family when a robber in black ski mask and hood suddenly walked up the driveway pointing a handgun at the victim, Crime Stoppers liaison Sgt. Javier Sambrano said in a news release.
"Give me everything, (expletive). Give me everything," the robber was recorded saying as he strikes the victim on the head with the gun shows a security camera video released by police. A woman can be seen on a sidewalk cowering nearby, shielding a
