Perth leads nation in property price growth
Perth’s housing market continues to outperform the rest of the country as home values climbed 1.9 per cent in October, compared to the national average of 1.1 per cent.
The jump is the fasted monthly gain since June 2023, with the WA market showing little signs of slowing down.
The data, released by Cotality, is likely a response to multiple interest rate cuts this year, as well as demand continuing to outpace supply.
Annually, Perth was the third-strongest capital city market, with home prices increasing 9.4 per cent compared to the national average of 5.6 per cent. Darwin (15.4%) and Brisbane (10.8%) led the country.
The Perth median house price is now $884,471. 7.25
