JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Jessamine County man is behind bars after deputies say he broke into a building, assaulted several juveniles, and seriously injured one of them.
The incident happened Saturday when deputies responded to a call about an assault. Upon arrival, they found multiple juveniles who had been attacked by a man later identified as Colin Poole.
Investigators say Poole was armed with a handgun when he forced his way into the building and assaulted the juveniles. One victim suffered severe injuries.
Poole was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault, second-degree assault, and third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
The investigation remains ongoing.
