MUSCATINE CO., Iowa (KWQC) - A double murder suspect from Minnesota was arrested in Muscatine County after a three county chase on Sunday.

Randy Zimmerman , 45, of rural Courtland, Minnesota, was arrested on suspected double murder after authorities stopped him in southeastern Iowa, Brown County authorities said.

The Louisa County Sheriff said a deputy rammed Zimmerman, who shot at the deputy who was pursuing him. The deputy was not hit.

He is in the custody of the Lousia County Sheriff’s Office.

Zimmerman is accused of shooting a 50-year-old man and a 32-yea-old woman in Hanska, Minnesota.

A KWQC crew could see two sheriff’s office vehicles near the intersection of 255th Street and Emmert Avenue in Muscatine County around 6 p.m.
