HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- For the third day in a row, Houston Airports has advised passengers to give themselves extra time to get through Bush and Hobby airports.
The airport system is now telling travelers to expect those delays until further notice.
Houston Airports says TSA wait times may be one hour or longer at Hobby because fewer screening lanes are open. At Bush, the wait could be more than three hours because TSA checkpoints are only open at terminals A and E.
United is urging passengers to check their luggage at terminal C and then go to terminal E by walking or taking the airport subway.
Houston Airports says the government shutdown has affected TSA staffing in Houston and across the country.
