A man is recovering from a stabbing attack after he was allegedly approached by a stranger and assaulted with a fork.
The 28-year-old man was sitting on a footpath in Bowen Hills, a suburb in Brisbane's inner north, at 10.30pm on November 1 when he was approached by the alleged attacker.
The attacker allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a fork after the pair had an argument, Queensland Police said.
"A verbal altercation occurred," police said.
"The other man allegedly stabbed him in the neck with a fork."
Investigators were told that the victim did not know his alleged attacker.
The victim was sitting on a Mallon Street footpath, a short street north of Brisbane's Fortitude Valley , during the alleged attack.
He was taken to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital for treatme
